Reading judgments

Reading judgments is free and needs no account. Judgments are public records; we are not an official court website and nothing here is legal advice. The result label (allowed, dismissed and so on) is read automatically from the judgment and can be wrong, so rely on the judgment and the original PDF.

For advocates: My cases and case search

Log in with your email (a 6-digit code is sent; there is no password). Search any court's case by party name, case number or the 16-character CNR, and save cases to My cases. For each saved case you get an email the evening before the hearing with the court number and item number from the cause list, and the order PDF by email when the court publishes it. Cause lists are often published only in the evening, so a case may be listed late or not at all; always confirm on the court's official website. Status data comes from a licensed court-data service and may be a few hours old. Order PDFs may carry a watermark and are not certified copies.

Plans

Free: 1 saved case, which cannot be replaced by another, and 3 searches a day. Paid (₹300 a month): up to 10 saved cases and 10 searches a day. Plans are switched on by us after payment, usually within a day; write to adv.rishibhateja@gmail.com. Cases beyond your plan stay saved but are not checked until your plan allows them. You can turn email alerts off, and delete your account and saved cases, from the My cases page.

For litigants: find judgments for your case

This is a testing feature for invited users. Upload your case papers (complaint, notice or petition) as a text-based PDF of up to 6 MB and choose whether you are the accused or the complainant. The file is read once to find the legal points and is then discarded; we do not keep the file or its text. Names and personal details are not used in the search. For the analysis, the text of the file is processed by an AI service, so do not upload papers you are not allowed to share. Results come only from judgments in our database, listed Supreme Court first, then High Courts, latest first. The AI can be wrong about relevance and about which side a judgment helps. Read the full judgment and check that it is still good law before relying on it. This is research help, not legal advice.

Translation

The Hindi option uses Google Translate. Translations are automatic and can be wrong; rely on the English text and the original PDF.
